35th PRAGATI Meet

India’s
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired and addressed the 35th edition of PRAGATI
meeting.
o The meeting was held to review activities undertaken in various
projects and programmes.
o PRAGATI is an ICT based multi-modal platform.
o Significance of PRAGATI: ‘Pro-Active
Governance and Timely Implementation’. It aims to look after the timely
implementation of central and state governments policies.
o In the 35th edition of the meet, PM Modi reviewed ten agenda
items which included nine projects and one program for 15 states.
o The 9 projects are having a cumulative cost of Rs. 54,675
crores.
o Among the 9 projects, three were from Railways Ministry, three
from Road Transport and Highways Ministry and one each from Power Ministry and
the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade.
o PM Modi also reviewed progress work under the Pradhan Mantri
Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Priyojana and he has asked associated sectors of this
programme to make use of technology for its effective implementation.
