Textiles Committee Signed MOU with Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre

The Textiles Committee of the Ministry of Textiles signed MOU
with Japan’s Nissenken Quality Evaluation Centre.
o The MOU was signed to
boost the export of Textile and Apparel to Japan.
o The partnership will
help textile industries to fit the Japanese quality standards by jointly
performing testing, inspection, and conformity assessment.
o The partnership will
also help to impart training sessions, R&D and capacity building in the
textile sector.
o Both India and Japan
have assured each other to share data of technical information and
documentation allied to the textile sector.
o Both the nations have
decided to facilitate sourcing across Textiles Value Chain (TVC) from both
ends.
o The MoU agreement was
signed via video conference by textiles minister Smriti Irani and Yasumasa
Nagasaka, Japanese state minister of economy, trade, and industry.
